I was really starting to get into this movie right up unitl Charles Malik Whitfield came into it. He ruined it for me, complete over the top acting and he is just not beleivable as a thug. Turned a solid 6-7 star movie into more like a 4 star movie (I split the difference and gave it a 5). Still worth a watch all in all though IMHO.
sharepersonally, I thought Jonathan the UK older actor was the one who ruined it for me... over-acting the whole movie... nearly unwatchable for that reason to me... made a decent movie for what they spent surely, but this is NOT a good movie by any means.
shareWhile i am not saying you are wrong but I have to say that Whitfield was VERY accurate in his acting of that character. I see people like rebob in my neighborhood all the time and i even had a person like that living next to me until he went to jail for 3 months.
It was not a stellar 'OMG' type film but i enjoyed it and it held my attention.
