Jenni may need to use donor eggs

It seems that Jenni's first doctor was saying that the quality of her eggs wasn't good, because of her age. I know she's going to try another retrieval; but if none of those are viable, then her next step may need to be donor eggs. We mistakingly think that we have all the time in the world to get pregnant when we see celebrities, like Janet Jackson, getting pregnant at an advanced age. What isn't commonly known is that many celebrities are either using donor eggs or freezing their own eggs when they're younger. (As Jeff mentioned)

I wondered about that too...If zero of 26 were viable, even to the embryo stage...it sounds like it could be time to move on to something else.

Or maybe a good next stage is to count her blessings that she was lucky enough to get one child, and just accept that this is the way it is. Many women aren't lucky enough to carry even one pregnancy to term...in a big sense, she is one of the lucky ones.

In reality, Jenni is old enough to be a grandmother. Women need to start listening to Mother Nature. All these artificial babies are scary. Because that's what they are. They were created in a lab by a chemist. They were not created by nature.

I just took note that the new Dr, that Jeff told Jenni she should go to, is Dr Potter. The same Dr who just did IVF for Meghan of RHOC! She is currently pregnant after having a successful round of IVF. She is also about ten years younger than Jenni. She couldn't conceive naturally as her husband had a vasectomy, however, he had frozen some sperm "in case of"'. Saw a huge difference in how the Dr retrieved the eggs. Meghan was awake during the procedure, however, when Jenni saw her OB-GYN he gave her anesthesia for the same process. He only took nine eggs from Meghan (if my memory is on point) but only four were good for implantation. (Out of two implanted only one survived). I just hope that Jenni has a successful attempt with this new Doctor. Between the hormones and the process it seems like a very difficult journey for these women to undertake. My best to all going through this. May you all get your bundle of joy.

Be well and be kind
