Zoila has a lot of nerve

From what I've seen, Jeff is BEYOND generous with Zoila. Any other employee that behaved the way she does would have been fired long ago. Now he's offering to pay her the rest of her life so she can retire in comfort? What employer would do that? I know he thinks of her as a mother, but my god. And she barely says thank you. The fact that the therapist didn't speak up and say "Wow Jeff, that is incredibly good of you" is crazy too.

Consider the lack of drama this season - I'm sure quite a bit of this is a put on for Bravo's benefit.

Jeff has always said he would take care of Zoila for life and I'm sure she will be involved with the baby.

Jeff is in the same situation he ends up with everyone - he lets the professional and personal lines blur then gets upset when people aren't professional.

This^. He is so needy, expecting his staff to be *like family*, when it is clear that everyone is extremely uncomfortable and just want to do their jobs. I guess he is doing it for the cameras but his excessive teasing is cringe worthy and I can certainly see why Matt quit. Ashlynn is probably next. Zoila won't quit because she is getting a nice Bravo paycheck.

I have to admit I'd be even harder on Ashlyn than they have showed Jeff being towards her. In Zoila's absence, perhaps she thought Jeff should get and serve her lunch? IMO, she's an entitled little snot. I suspect she's one of those types that won't get over herself until life kicks her in the butt, and it can't happen too quickly.

What has she done to give you this impression?

Jeff said he would write a check. He didn't mention an amount.

There isn't enough money to work for a jerk like Jeff. He's the one that isn't professional. He's in a service industry and insists on doing things his way. Yes, he's thorough and detail-oriented - but the results are not unique. All he cares about is increasing the value of a home. He assumes that everyone wants to keep moving rather than make a home and settle down.

Have you watched this show in the past? He and Gage have treated Zoila badly.

reply

Jeff loves Zoila and she loves him. She is more than an employee to him.

reply

I agree with this. If anything, I think that Zoila having her own place, and her privacy, will probably result in the two of them getting along better. Their arrangement up to now....her living at the house full time.....is just too much togetherness, and can have a way of breeding contempt.

What happened with zoila's car that Jeff bought? Was it just product placement to have her Uber into retirement??

reply

Most likely he just leased it (business write off) for her and the lease was up.
