series and movie

I loved the movie when I watched it years ago and then just got to see the TV series and now after watching the movie again..the TV Series tarnished the movie for me.
The TV Series is funnier than the movie, they should re-do the movie.
a few things they had in the movie but cut out of the TV Series bugged me too..why did GW and Noelta have to have kids in the movie..you never saw them but they were mentioned and then they were non exsistant in the Series?.
In the Series (which was set before the movie) Latrelle is seperated from her husband and he ran off with another woman but in the movie he seems to be around (they even went to Ty's play together).
In the series it looks like LaVonda is living with Sissy but in the movie she isn't..just a few things that bugged me seeing so both the movie and TV Series had the same writer he could have gotten the facts straight so it flowed better instead of being disjointed.
And in the TV series they should have mentioned that Odell was Wardell's brother cause I didn't really understand why he was in the bar until I saw the movie.
And also that Glyndora was in the series in a 'relationship' with Bitsy May but in the movie she was in jail scene with Juanita, LaVonda and Latrelle (for sticking her man's penis to his stomach)but Juanita didn't even recognise her in the prison even tho she was at the bar with Bitsy all the time????

They REALLY need to re-do the movie and make it flow better with the TV Series now.

Perhaps, some of it was done for budget purposes? Like having LaVonda live with Sissy makes it easier to have fewer sets for the show. Having Latrelle seperated from her husband allows you to not have to pay for an actor to portray the husband and explains why he's not in the picture. Sometimes, changing the series a little from the movie makes more sense because you are telling a story over several episodes as compared to a 90 minute or 2hour movie. I was just glad to see that most of the original cast was part of the series, especially Beth Grant, Bonnie Bedelia, Anne Walker, Sarah Hunley, Leslie Jordan and Olivia Newton-John. Heck, I even thought that Caroline Rhea made a great replacement for Delta Burke as Noleta. Didn't think that I'd ever see that one coming. Even Jason Dottley did a decent job as Ty. I think Kirk Geiger would've been too old to play Ty that many years later. I just wish they would've been able to continue this great series that deserved many seasons.
