is the most boring character in the show? Every time it would switch to his storyline in New York I'd want to go to sleep until they returned to the wonderful characters I loved.

Yeah, got the city wrong, I still just feel it's almost like those sections are part of a different show. Maybe it's not a bad show but it is so different in tone from the rest of the show that I find it disconcerting and not what I'm in the mood for when I turn on Sordid Lives, I just want the wackiness of the rest of the storylines.
Just saw the movie for the first time, and think the Ty parts of it are even worse.

It's not that I necessarily dislike him as a character, I just find the tonal shift between his parts and everything else so drastic that it's, as I said, like I'm watching a different show. And when I tune in Sordid Lives, I'm just in the mood for over the top insanity

I think that Ty is fabulous and he the character is an excellent support to the cast. His story line is centered around his family coming together. The character lives and works in Hollywood, California and not in New York.

I agree with the original poster. The Ty character is soooooo boring, and the actor is terrible. The only reason he's on the show is because he was sleeping with Del Shores.
shareI think the character is boring - granted the acting is abysmal but the same character in the movie talking to his psychiatrist is BORING too and the movie actor is talented.
shareOMG I COMPETLY AGREE WITH YOU! What's funny is just today i was rewatching the show and kept thinking GOD Ty's storyline is soo boring. The ladies and brother boy's storylines were MUCH more entaining and intesting. i could have cared less for Ty's scenes, plus the actor was AWFUL, i just could not connect or even like him at all....
