Episode 1.3 (1907) questions

Amazon calls it episode 1.3 but I think it must have been episode 2.2 in the original UK broadcast of 1907. It's the one where Nobby get delirium tremors and ends up sobbing in the children's morgue.

Anyway, I couldn’t hear all the dialogue so I have a few questions about some other, less memorable scenes. The first concerns the Jewish patient, Joseph Levy; the other, the scene that precedes Nurse Ada discovering that her patient died.

1. Early on, Nobby is talking to Levy who indicates that the foreign born Jews broke his windows. (He distinguishes himself from them because he is London-born.) What was that conversation about? (I gather it goes back to the earlier episode when Nobby’s gang dukes it out with the Russian Jewish gang.) Later, the bearded Jewish men who were hanging out in the lobby pay a visit to Levy. I couldn’t catch what they said but Levy is so upset he falls off the bed.

2. The other incident occurs when Ada is working with one of the probationers on the same ward. There’s some indistinct but disturbing dialog off screen accompanied by foreboding music. The probationer signals Ada who proceeds to assure everyone that everything is all right, but she seems a little upset, herself. One patient, deeply distressed, is holding his hands over his ears. What was that all about? In the next moment Ada discovers that her patient died and she completely loses it, but it’s the part directly before that which confuses me.
