Just saw this and have a question about the final scene with Jack's/Eric's girlfriend Michelle: Was she really there or was that an imagined scene in his head?

Is it made clear in the book?

I wonder too. I believe it was an imagined scene in his head becuase it was light.

There's something wrong with Esther.

I think he was fantasizing the scene as a way of saying goodbye to her.

IMO.

Michelle was not there.

Jack was imagining her being there.
