Second viewing today, nine years since theatrical viewing

I've seen a few better than Death Proof subjects.
Not only is it better than that movie, it is better than many campy, horror comedies.
It really holds up. The night I saw this 9 years ago, I was into it, but more into the whole Grindhouse experience...not so much DeathProof. Still not into Death Proof.

I thought it was so good that it was not quite Shaun of the Dead level, but almost. That's high. Found myself laughing out loud at jokes I've already heard. Loving the flow, the dialogue, the whole movie overall.

I believe it is grosser and funnier than any Evil Dead movie.

Freddy Rodriguez I think his name is, is such an underrated hero. So likeable. I'd have chosen him over Machete for his own spinoff movie.

The only downer was the kid blowing his own head off, and I didn't like it at first, but now I do. I get it. Clear message right there. Dumb ass mom got what she deserved right there and kids watching this movie should know it can happen to them.

I won't discuss how much better it is than Death Proof because I think it isn't even comparable unfortunately.

Just watched it again. Very entertaining, needs an El Wray spin off for sure.

Planet Terror is without a doubt in my Top 5 Zombie Films and definitely one of the Best Horror/Comedies I've ever seen. It's the combination of the fearlessness of RR and seeing his Vision thru to the end and a Dynamic Cast. I LIKE Death Proof but I absolutely LOVE Planet Terror. It just has that redeeming quality for repeat viewings, especially if you're a fan of the Genre.
