i love how in the current political climate, americans are conditioned to hate Arabs and anyone from South of the Border yet I have to watch Jewish "Christmas" programs even from Sesame Street. I could have tolerated the Israel first production if it was in the least bit entertaining, but they couldn't even deliver that with this ben the jewish "christmas" elf.
shareWhy must we all attack Ben Stiller. Yes he is of the Jewish faith and yes he played an Elf in this christmas special, that in my mind wasn't horrible. But also, we must take into effect that Mr. Stiller has two young children who are already clobbered with Christmas specials so if he made a special like this, they are likely to see it. Also, this is a holiday that celebrates the birth of a boy who was born of the Jewish faith

that's fair enough i just feel like christmas is under attack and this is but another symptom. you have to admit his muppet looked even much middle eastern than he ever has. cookie monster isn't even allowed to eat cookies anymore.
as i say if it wasn't for the poor production values this could have been more easily overlloked. but it just wasn't a very good production.
