Why is Chrissy's dad so interested in her love life?

Whenever I see him, he's asking her how she's doing with Clay, and he has that creepy little smile on his face the whole time. It's slightly reminiscent of Joe Simpson. I never tell my father anything about my love life; do any of you other girls?

He is an extremely over-protective father, trying to keep his little girl a virgin.

I was just glad to see parents on the show acting like parents unlike most of the time on Laguana Beach where sometimes it seemed like they didn't even have parents and when they showed them they were acting like friends.

That's very true. If my parents knew that I was pole-dancing at a nightclub in Cabo at the age of 16, they'd never let me leave the house again.

Lol Parents be parents? Her parents are ridiculous. And over the top. They are doing way too much for a daughter that's about to go away to college. You teach your kids how to handle the outside world on their own. Her father calling and what they did at that hotel was over the top.

I felt so bad for Chrissy, whenever she was having fun, her dad always kept calling and destroying everything for her.
