I don't get some of you, please explain.

Ok, I haven't watched this movie yet (it just showed up on my Video On Demand) but the trailer at least seemed a bit refreshing from the usual, typical "Hills Have Eyes" type of crap where all the serial killers are deformed, f'd-up sub humans. At least in this movie (from the trailer I've seen) the "twist" seems to be these 3 killers are more like Hollywood Hipsters that just happen to have this sadistic hobby to sort of prove how it's done.

Now what I don't get is, those of you that seem most vocal about how bad this movie is (specifically you VictorianSquid) also have claimed to have seen all of Ulli Lommel's films and that they are ALL the worst piece of crap ever. So... if his films are so bad, why the hell do you keep watching them!? Doesn't make sense.

And also, it has been a very long while since I've seen a truly original and innovative horror film, can you all tell me what your top 3 recent favorites are so I could have some frame of reference of what is considered good before I decide to watch this one? Thanks!

Ulli Lommel makes the worst movies ever made. Period. Your mileage won't vary.

Didn't really answer my question. If he does make the worst movies ever, why are you all seeing all of his movies and then complaining about them? And can you list what you consider a good (recent) horror movie?

I'm actually looking forward to 30 Days Of Night and will be seeing it later tonight. But there's got to be some good horrors movies that have come out the past few years? This is directed mostly to those that are slamming so hard on Uli. Since they say his movies are THE worst (and yet seem to keep watching all of them) I want to know what these people consider to be the best horror movies of the last few years.

And I still haven't seen Borderline Cult, I guess I'll wait until it comes to Showtime or Cinemax or something.

lol@billgates2 I bet you can't say that out loud without smiling.....Jeez,The chickens were pretty believable,that's gotta be worth a star.I would honestly rather have rectal cancer than have to sit through this or The Tomb EVER again.

I just finished watching Borderline Cult and as always Ulli delivers. What a piece of crap. Yes all his recent movies suck more than words can explain. Despite the fact that his movies are very hard to watch (and not in a good horror way) I am always keen to see any film he does just to see if it can be worse than the previous one. However once I start watching them I often have to ask myself why I am watching this. I also get a kick out of listening to his commentaries where he and his pals talk about how great the films are and how the actors are so amazing. I's funny listening to how delusional they are about the films and how they fail to see just how bad they are.
