I agree; this movie is f'ing horrible! Some friends and I were really bored one night so we decided to go and rent a few movies. We saw this one on the shelf at Blockbuster. It had pretty cool cover art and pretty much the same description they give for it here on imdb. So we rented it, hoping that it would be a decent slasher/horror film. Obviously we were wrong. Whenever anyone asks what's the worst movie I’ve ever seen, I always say this one. The whole thing was shot on a home video camera over what looked like the course of a weekend. The only special FX they had in this movie was the blood coming out of the knife gag. The majority of this film is people talking about what they've done rather than actually doing anything. I'm pretty sure the black guy didn't even want to be in this movie. I mean, out of everyone, he looked the most annoyed with what was going on.
We actually listened to the commentary after we finished the movie, hoping that the filmmakers would be ripping on their movie. I know that sounds unlikely, but we did the same thing after we watched Night of the Dead, and that's exactly what the director and producer did. With Borderland Cult however, the people doing the commentary were talking about the film like it was the Godfather or something. I actually brought it back and complained. Thankfully I was given a free rental. I would never recommend this movie to anyone. The whole thing is complete trash, and what makes it worse is that the filmmakers have had decent carries making crappy films like this.
