Asylum haters who rush to judgment

Asylum has made more than their share of turkeys, I'll be the first to admit it. But I'm concerned on how the minority here call this a terrible film when it hasn't hit the store shelves yet. As a matter of fact, I think we're still 2 weeks away.

Let's be somewhat reasonable here. A lot of it is "I hate the movie because I hate it." But nothing specific is mentioned, such as a key scene, or perhaps the ending, or whatever. This leads me to believe that there's one or two people, age 40, live with their mom, overweight, and wear pink spandex that are killing time by posting pointless comments (And haven't seen the film), period. As a law student, I'll be the first to concede that's your constitutional right to post whatever, but I think there's a ethical obligation to do so in good faith.

I've been very critical of some Asylum films, on here and on other boards. But I feel this film IS going to be different. First of all, it's the first Asylum trailer I've seen in a while that doesn't look self-defeating. Second, you have one of the top martial artists in the world as the star; and it's strongly hinted that he's been given carte blanche to cut loose in it. Third, it was written by a stunt man for a stunt man. And fourth, the HDW-F900 footage looks incredible (You'll need to rent 666: The Beast to see to full sized one).

I'm not expecting Citizen Kane here, but I think a good case can be made that this could be the film that puts Asylum back in the good graces of the consumer. Of course for me to be sure, I have to wait a couple more weeks. And I would strongly urge that the rest of you do so as well.

And that's my 2.6 cents,

Matt/David
