Believe me, this isn't a typical Asylum film. It's worth the $5 to rent.

Anyhow low-budget doesn't automatically mean bad, you

Hooptiehoss, I've read through a couple of your earlier posts
and even though you're ambivalent in your responses I still
have that sneaking suspicion. So of that little piece of evidence
I've gathered your either his girlfriend, friend with a crush or
he's gay (not that it is anything wrong with it as Jerry Seinfeld
would have said).

Eh, plant or not I'll second the idea that it's an OK movie. There's a couple of scenes, one involving a bunny and the other nunchucks that were surprisingly good. It's more a zombie movie at times than something along the lines of legend, but I can at least say that it's not the worst in that genre that I've ever seen.

It's worth $5.00 to me, with booze and friends to laugh on occasion. Or, just as something to keep on while filling out dull paperwork.

OK movie? No - when a person that gets shot in both shoulders and one knee but still can run, drive and fight is not OK by me - that's just friggin stupid. Stuff like that just drowned this movie into crap

It sucked and I'm glad I didn't pay for it...

ok, so it's a rip off, but of what? Omega man? I am legend? and if so book or movie? Seems like omega man and I am legend all "ripped off" the book. or rather built on it, I guess that's pov. One, why do you care where the source material came from? and two, does it really change the actual movie at all? Hell, they even give oscars for screen plays adapted from other material.

Wow, meangeoffmeed IS a plant by Asylum. Every time someone criticizes the film you jump on them, and someone praises it you thank them. Next time, don't make it so obvious.

Very astute observation; by virtue of being the writer and one of the stars of "I am Omega," you are correct in that meangeoffmeed is a "plant." However, unlike real plants, he isn't trying to hide who he is.

In the future, I find that it does help to read the entire thread prior to saying something. Just a mild suggestion.

the idea is to fool people into renting it, because they are too stupid to realize that 'i am legend' with will smith is not even in theaters for another 3 weeks or so. it would bother me, but it works way too well. i worked at a video store, and used to have to CONVINCE people it wasn't the movie they were looking for.

Hey, if it works it works. i just saw "I am legend" and they're better off renting I am Omega. I see the title as more of a homage since the story is entirely different from I am Legend and The Omega Man. Last weekend I watched Yojimbo, A Fistful of Dollars and then Last Man Standing. They were the same damn movie yet all were pretty good.

This movie at least gives a nod, with it's title, to movies its similar to. and honestly, if they make a few extra bucks because of the title and packaging, more power to em. "I am legend" was a major disappointment yet it took in a grip of money this past weekend. I'd rather see smaller houses and less-known people get a shot at making some flicks.
