One thing I liked about this movie

I actually liked almost everything about it, I thought it was excellent; but one thing I appreciated was how it took place in Japan but wasn't blatant anti-Japanese propaganda.

The last 3 Donnie Yen movies I saw were filled with anti-Japanese crap, although I still enjoyed them. I was glad this movie avoided that, of course that's probably the reason it was banned in China

I don't think Yen's movie's were so much anti-Japanese propaganda. It was just depicting the relationships between the Chinese and the Japanese during the Sino-Japanese war. In reality, the atrocities of the Japanese were actually far worse than depicted but they couldn't show something so graphic or it would get banned. Shinjuku Incident was banned BECAUSE it was so graphic and it also contained sex scenes with nudity. Your post in itself is actually anti-Chinese propaganda.
