They made Journey 2

Now when is Race to Witch Mountain 2 coming? It was just as good as Journey to the Center of the Earth. I guess there could be a problem with how the story would progress, but I bet they can find an awesome plot.

One thing that Race to Witch Mountain did was to vary from Tony and Tia, so now the story could be about any of the individuals from whatever their planet is, and they would need to find new kids, because AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig are now pretty much adult actors.

they would need to find new kids,

Not necessarily. Return from Witch Mountain (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078158) was about Tia and Tony coming back to Earth for an educational vacation of sorts and both kids were played by the original (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072951) actors, Kim Richards and Ike Eisenmann. The casting worked just fine because their characters would presumably be older anyway. To me, Alexander and AnnaSophia look as matured as Ike and Kim did between adventures. Sure, the entire idea of another sequel on the franchise would essentially be the exact same idea as the previously mentioned two earlier movies, i.e., sequel, but when has that stopped Hollywood. I'd watch it.

Re: "They would need to find new kids",

The Witch Mountain story is about kids, just like Goonies, or Mighty Ducks, but in this case, alien kids, with "powers", and who are challenged to deal with adult adversaries on Earth. In other words, protagonists that kids can identify with, as they did with the kids in Home Alone or Spy Kids

Even if they brought back Tia and Tony as grownups, they would need to introduce some new kids to fill that kid-protagonist role for kids to identify with.

I never liked kids even when I was one.
