So, this is the Stargate sequel?

dont get me wrong, its a good movie for kids, but...travelling thru wormholes? a alien soldier that looks like a kull warrior from stargate? looks to me like writers got a few ideas from stargate

They may have homage'd the UFO-convention alien attack scene from Galaxy Quest, and they took stuff from the first two Witch Mountain movies, the RV, the yellow cab, the menacing (at first) dog, Seth and Sara unconscious on a lab table, like Tony in RFWM, Jack being surprised by them being in his cab, like
Jason discovering Tia and Tony in his RV in ETWM. There was also some Bullitt homages, like the Mustang at the end, and maybe some of the car chase stuff. There may have been some Men in Black informing also.
Jack was also something like the T800 (Arnie) in Terminator 2.

I guess you had no idea that this movie is a remake of 'Escape To Witch Mountain' from 1975? thus pre-dating Stargate.

yeah, and someone posted that Dark Shadows is a ripoff of something which first aired in 1982.

even though Dark Shadows first aired in 1966 and the current movie is a remake of a series which first aired in 1966.

I've noticed a lot of people think when they see something, they're the first ones, even thought they're clearly seeing a remake, the possibility never occurs to them. I see it with music too, someone re-records a song from 20 years ago, and suddenly people think that person wrote it as opposed to say... the Beatles.

Who are the Beatles? Phony Beatle mania, has bitten the dust, London calling...
