Dialect?

Hi, I'm new to the italian language and I want to improve it by watching italian movies. However, I want to listen to something that does not have a dialect and where people speak the "normal" italian language. So for the italians out there, is this movie spoken in a dialect? If so, could you recommend other movies that I would be able to understand?
Thank you very much !

I'm not sure if you are talking about a dialect or an accent...

There are only a handful of recent films that are spoken in a dialect, such as Respiro, The Wind Blows Round, Golden Door, Gomorrah, The Man Who Will Come and Terraferma. Pretty much everything else should be suitable for you.

Some (good) movies I would recommend: The Double Hour, Libero (Along the Ridge), Vincere, The Best of Youth, The Past Is a Foreign Land.

P.S.: I consider Tutta la vita davanti to be the best Italian film of the past decade but some of the dialogue is VERY fast so it may not be the best choice if you want to learn the language.
