Anyone else noticed (SPOILERS)

That Jeanne slept with her brother? The makers of the movie threw a lil' bit of a "Star Warsque" scene lol

(On another subject)I agree with other posters tho: Sophie Marceau is flawless in this film.

Yeah, I did...but this is a foreign film where they are not so squeamish about just details.

I definitely noticed that!! And nobody said anything about it being unusual or anything. That was the creepiest aspect of the whole show for me. Ewww.

"What's that? Bag o' tricks?
No. Bag o' knives."

I'd like to think that they hadn't exactly got that far into the whole "love making" part.

Neither of them knew that they were siblings. Jeanne even thought he was her husband (maybe it's ewww to make love to husband?). It is not that they had sex because they were brother and sister, or at least ignoring that fact - they simply had no idea. So where is the big sin? And, besides, as soon as Jeanne understood that Gianni is not Leo, she threw him out.

But, I am just an European, and as it is well-known in America, we are all degenerated perverts, both in movies and in reality.

I hardly think so. Some of the nicest people I know are Brits.

But Brits always emphasize that they live on an Island and not on a Continent, therefore they don't consider themselves to be Europeans. And Americans usually also don't include them in the "pervert, savage, decadent (etc)" Europeans.

First of all, they were only half-siblings (same mother), but that wasn't the point.

I thought the scene was effective because Gianni instinctively felt something for Jeanne though he didn't know why. It was touching the way he followed her from the café to make sure she was all right. And she thought he was Teo so the lovemaking scene made sense.

I thought they stopped when Jeanne realised that the man on top of her isn't her Teo..
