@ out_on_dvd yup thats a disappointment for actresses like these 2 but what the heck, movie is not that bad at all.

Well, maybe the OP was waiting for something I was waiting for. An outstanding Freansh movie with Great European actresses amd an deeply passionate plot with an flow of climax and an suberb ending.

I always expect the slow pace, lots of dialogs and ambiguous story from French movies; more recently, from Spanish movies as well.

This one have great moments but it seems predicable and sometime just a pretext to fullfil any logic at the end. It's full of cliches, amd ot's disappointing.

The magic of slow pace is sucumbed and turns into boringness when there is not enough content in the story to provide that.

I guess he felt the same as I did.
Many weird scene that made no sense. I see some people already have asked about them on this board and their questions still waiting for some answers.

It made no sense... to YOU! Typical foreigners who can't adapt to a different way of thinking. You have a small mind. I would suggest learning a different language or traveling more so that you can see that your way isn't the only way. I'm French and this movie made perfect sense to me.

mostly the makeup doesn't quite work. it looks so creepy in a "wrong" way, it wasn't until it fully transformed into monica belluci that i was sure that was their goal, because before that i was thinking theres no way they are super imposing if it looks that bad.

The facial transformation was supposed to be creepy, it explains how the character was feeling. Would you be more freaked out if the way your face was morphing into another face meshed well, or if all of a sudden you just started having random parts of another person?

I don't know, I thought it was cool.
