Why can't Tim Allen pick better roles?!?

I'm not saying this movie is gonna suck...but it looks like tim's got a very small role in it. He's a talented guy (don't deny you were a fan of home improvement) who doesn't seem to get good roles nowadays.

He's kinda one-dimensional if you haven't noticed...he's just Tim Allen...this movie actually seems like a very good idea for his career...he's actually working with talent for a change

Even the most primitive of societies have an innate respect for the insane.

Im just replying cause you said dont deny being a fan of Home Improvement. I hated that show so much. Tim Allen is a pretty decent actor but I absolutely couldent stand that show.

he can't pick better roles because he's not a good actor. really, it's just him playing himself in every single role i've ever seen him in. he's always some goofy, "likable" and relatable guy and he never really goes any deeper than that. everyone always says "what about toy story? that's one of the best movies of the century!" yeah well, tim didn't actually have to ACT in that, it's not hard to be a voice-over for a character.

wath ith thomething i thaid?

I've always thought Tim Allen has been pretty mediocre as an actor. What I miss is the days when he used to do stand-up comedy on HBO. I mean, most women probably didn't care for his stand-up routines too much, but us guys could totally relate to his routines! The other thing that made it great was he could be as vulgar as he cared to be. Home Improvement is probably the closest thing to his old stand-up stuff, but since it had to be squeaky clean for TV, it just isn't the same. It's too bad he couldn't have stayed diversified like George Carlin and continue to do both. Carlin did pretty ok in the acting dept., and his stand-up was friggin awesome til the day he died!
