About Project Overlord. SPOILER ALERT

Was anyone else freaked out by the ending to this mission?

To see his brother hooked up to the machines like that was a very dark and frightening image. I felt like I was in one of those sci-fi horror movies.

When he kept reciting the square root thing, and then he kept saying "it was supposed to be harmless" I almost started to cry.

Definitely one of the most scary and saddening missions for Commander Sheppard.

You might wanna post this in the Mass Effect 2 section where it belongs.

On the main point, that scene really got to me as well. I didn't start crying but I was impressed by the way he repeated it over and over again and the screen slowly fades out as it focuses on his crying face.

The ending absolutely freaked me out as well.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one who nearly started crying about it. Really got under my skin.

I loved Overlord. It was quite amazing that they made a DLC that was exciting and emotionally engaging enough to fill a game on its own. I'm also not ashamed to say that I pistol whipped Archer for that.

Also, don't play Overlord at night. The VI's screams scared the living hell out of me multiple times

agreed this should be on the mass efefct 2 board. also agree that it was creepy. i really liked this DLC.

How can i be lost, if i've got nowhere to go?

reply

The ending to the mission was satisfyingly creepysome. But I really hated the hammerhead interlude and how they artificially extended the time needed to go through the content.

reply

Yea i wasn't a big fan of the hammerhead either. Mako all the way for me.
