Getting to Vault 87 is a bitch and The Fallout Wiki SUCKS!

Wiki says the best and safest way to get to Vault 87 is too hack the computer in Little Lamplight rather than Murder Pass, which they say is very difficult and will get injured and lose a lot ammo. That may be true about Murder Pass, but I doubt is worse than the other "safer" route! I have come across 5 or 6 Super Mutant Overlords so far, which I think is the toughest of the Super Mutants and used up all my stimpacks and died. Even my best weapons have little affect on them and takes forever to kill. I'm not sure if there is a better weapon I should have that kills them quick like the Alien Blaster does in Fallout New Vegas, but I need it or I will have to go through MP.

I thought Deathclaws were the toughest enemy, but I could take one of them out with three shots from the Blackhawk. Overlords barley loose have life. And I'm at level 23 right now.

Any thoughts?

I just started using nuka grenades actually. And I ended up using the fatboy on all the Overlords, which worked great. Didn't want to use up all my mini nukes on them, but it was better than using up all my ammo and stimpacks. As soon as I got Fawkes Overlords weren't even a problem.

And where is the alien blaster? I've never come across one in FO3 before.
