When Virginia goes back to (I'm guessing) Blithe's house to pick up her stuff, this guy Tim starts hitting on her. As a result, Virginia gets mad and fires off at him.
Who is this Tim? I was confused about that, as well as about Hank. Is Hank Blithe's past boyfriend?
He was the guy Blythe was living with at the beginning of the film. He actually hit on Virginia before, during her first dinner at the house, which Blythe witnessed. Duchey McDoucherton, that was bunkhead Tim.
And Hank was Blythe's ex-husband. They divorced years before, which Virginia could never understand, since Hank was such a catch. I suppose that's why Blythe chose to return to him again and again and eventually remarried him so she could live out the rest of her days with him.
The guy Blithe was living with at the beginning of the film, that flirted with Virginia and tried to kiss her, was Sam (Dr. Samuel Chafee). I'm not quite sure who Tim is except someone from Virginia's past.
