After rewatching the series, I am not angry that it was cancelled.

The series ended on a good note. Henry and Casey were still together. Roman wrote his masterpiece. Henry decides to try and get back in the biz, etc. It was left open, but it was still a pretty neat, tidy ending for the show. For a show containing episodes that almost always end on a depressing note, the ending is actually pretty happy.

Am I the only one content with it?

Hail to the king, baby.

I actually did not get the impression Henry and Casey were together, at least at the very end. The fact that their last scene together was a fight ending with her walking out, coupled with her not knowing where he was when other coworkers did, makes me think they had broken up.

Yeah, I guess you're possibly right. But it seems they left it open purposefully. The last time we see Casey, she's smiling because she knows what Henry is doing.

Hail to the king, baby.

reply

yep, for me Casey's smile at the end said it all. She knew what he was doing and why.

I think the key line was when she said there's nothing he could say to make it better. Well he didn't have to say anything...he did something. He found the courage to try again...which is what he was trying to tell her...but you can't keep telling other people to try when you're the one who's given up.

Basically he man'd up which makes me think that they're still together.

reply

Sounds about right. Plus, Casey obviously needed a little space to cool off, but it wasn't as though she told Henry to F-off.

I don't hate you.....hate your parents for having you.

Great point. The show was still very good though, so it's kind of sad it ended when it did. It's so much better to go out still good (like Arrested Development) rather than grinding to a slow death (like The Office).

I'm still upset that it was cancelled, but I will say that it did end on a good note. I'm assuming the writers may have known it wasn't doing well and might be cancelled as it seemed like they ended it in a way that would be ok for the end of the series. I'm still excited for the movie that seems to actually be a possibility now .

I couldn't agree more! I just watched it again.

Well I gotta say I enjoy seeing Adam Scott on Parks and Rec, but I miss this show soooo much.

Thought it ended nicely with the characters but they could've let the show go on with different workers for the catering company. Keeping Ken Marino as the main stay with periodic appearances from the rest.

No risk, no risk.
