Dreadful

Terrible movie. Tries hard to be “artistic” with odd atmospheric music, unnecessary camera angles, pointless split screen etc, fails every time.

Poorly acted, you never build any sort of connection with any of the characters and end up not caring less what happens to them.

Dull and about 50% longer than it needs to be, totally unnecessary padding scenes which add nothing to the story whatsoever.

For a similar-ish movie which does it MUCH better try “we still say grace” instead. Or just stare at your walls for almost 2 hours, you’ll have as much fun.

Yea, nothing comes off as believable in this. You’re telling me the wife convinced her husband to go to this place so she can conduct research on this fungus from the area. Then, after their car stops working they decide to eat local home grown food, with the locals showing all the trademark signs of infection. Wife’s life and research revolves around knowing about this stuff and how it effects people.

I don’t know… I don’t think this was thought through very well
