All that ruckus and that turns out to be the most interesting thing. Still, I might check it out.

Metascore dropped to 47 from 55 critics since my OP. Should break even after $20M opening.

Imdb is 6.3 with 9k votes Sat evening. Plenty of 1* votes being ignored.
Young women rate it highest. Wonder if rating goes up or down with wide opening?
