Dead Zone Mark II?

I liked it, but it's so similar to Stephen King's Dead Zone, which is already being produced.

Bauer vs. Bourne, that is the question.

Have to agree, and I prefer the Dead Zone. The "special effects" for the visions were a bit amateurish in Empathy but then Brit programmes never have anywhere near the budget of our American cousins. I gave this programme a go and it was ok (but feel like it's going over old ground with the existence of Dead Zone), glad to see BBC drama stretching themselves a bit rather than relying solely on Dr Who as their entire scifi/fantasy output. Anyone else think the beginning with the older prison inmate giving advice on life was rather reminiscent of "Red" etc from Shawshank Redemption? I think the producers and writers must be huge Stephen King fans.
