The agent didn't know who Mille was as that wasn't her real name , remember she took Joels class 3 years previous under her real name but she was a plain jane back then & wasn't even on Joels radar.

I actually thought that this movie was quite clever for an obvious low budget flick.
Definitely a nod to Hitchcock as i spotted 3 homages to his work in there plus Basic Instinct (which was Hitchcock inspired) & also but this might have been too 'meta' as it starred Lillard (who I've always liked) - Scream 1 with the 'rules' of scripts/movies constantly being talked about.
