Wendy was such a positive person

While watching the documentary I noticed how positive and almost cheerful Wendy and her sons seemed to be - how she seemed almost "ok" with going to prison. But as the movie progressed it became clear that their positive attitude was because Aaron was gone. They must have been so relieved, that even going to prison was preferable to living with him in the hell he had made of their lives. No matter what happened to them they would never have to deal with him again!

The sons all seemed to be really good boys, and they obviously loved their mother very much. It was encouraging to see how affectionate they were with her, and it gave me hope to think that they were not all ruined forever by their past. I would hope that they got some sort of counseling so that they could sort out their feelings and memories. You can't just ignore a past like they've had.

I wish there had been some information in the film about Aaron's background. Had he also been abused violently while growing up? What had made him into such a monster? I'm not saying there is *any* excuse for the way he treated his family, I'm just wondering about him. The way his brother acted in court (threatening, scary) made me think that his family background may have been horrific as well.

yes she was, she was in the right when she killed him.

Don't worry, I saw Lord of the Rings. I'm not going to end this 17 times.

Yes, I'd like to know that as well, what the family dynamics were like for him and his brother Paul growing up. But his aunt, judging by her interviews on YouTube, she seemed pretty mentally stable, whereas Paul, during the trial in the documentary, there seemed to be something mentally unbalanced about him, him and his brother, there is just something off about both of them. I was surprised Aaron's parents weren't there, but maybe they've already passed away? I'm hoping when Wendy's released, she'll be able to give an in-depth interview about Aaron, and give us some answers.

It was really sweet and touching the way they were kissing and hugging before she went to jail. I was also surprised that they were smiling as they were doing their farewells, but I guess that was better than their alternative, which was continuing living with Aaron.
