The Ending-Spoilers

Left open-ended but what would have happened? Would Ged He may have even told them give me all your money and I will let you live. It did seem he was sick of all the killing and may not have wanted to be the most wanted man in Spain.

What are you daft? [No offense intended]

Of course he killed them! He walked in quietly with a gun to scare them??? Seriously?

They wiped him out. Note only is that a big deal, it’s very bad for his reputation. He’s a bad guy. Natural born killer or not. He wasn’t about to give them a piece of his mind and leave. That’s just silly!

Only thing left open, slightly, would be if he would get any money back. Not likely as it was put into an off shore account. But who knows, he could have forced them to transfer it, MAYBE… But he most certainly killed them, no doubt

I see it in reverse.

As in, he definitely would get his money back, and probably a lot more with it. But it is ambiguous as to whether or not he would kill them. Personally, I think not.

As somebody else pointed out, he is not a natural killer and doesn't seem to enjoy the lifestyle. I'm sure revenge was on the cards during his visit to Spain so he probably at least beat the shjt out of them, but its also (and probably more so) about business. There's no way he'd go there 'just' to kill them, it's as much about the money.

Get real. Of course he would have killed both of them. Why would he be the most wanted man in Spain? A Brit gangster killing Brit conmen wouldn't figure that highly on the Guardia Civil's priority list. And how would they know that the perp was a Brit anyway?

reply

No, he probably wouldn't have killed them.

What would be the point even if he wanted revenge? There's no way he could trust Franner not to grass him at some point in the future.

reply

Better to trust Franner than the conman, who would have had the loot tucked away in the Caymans anyway. If it came to a protracted period of torture or a couple of rounds in the head I know which I'd choose. Besides, Franner owed him, and so it balanced out.

I would cheerfully go to Málaga looking for payback. But whether or not I came back with cash, I sure as hell wouldn't be leaving any witnesses.

The only mistake would be doing it so soon after the event. Better to wait for a year. That would also take care of Franner, because why should he know that Ged had left anyway? He could drive out there and be back in a couple of days, he could say they were going to the US or the Caribbean or wherever on a family holiday.

Revenge is its own point. It never settles things the way you hoped it would, but it does go some way to scratching an itch.

reply

He probably walked up, put a bullet in the girl's head. Pulled the guy out of the pool, ordered him to give the account info, then put one in his head.
