Why does he shake his head side to side like that?

Is he listening to some sort of demonic ipod that we can't see or hear?

reply

Maybe it was a Zune he was listening to.

Maybe if your skull was on fire, your head would do some unusual jerking motions as well?

In this film they made mention that the Ghost Rider was the spirit of the Angel of Justice having been dragged to Hell and made insane. He returns then as the Angel of Vengeance, yet still as insane.

Unlike the first film, they really tried to make the Rider come across as sort of nuts and not entirely in control. The weird head motions appear to be a reflection of that mental instability.

And, as has been said, who WOULDN'T jerk their head around weirdly if it was on fire?

The amusing part? Ghost Rider never bobs his around or does anything Cage did in these films in the comics..Also Ghost Rider was never an Angel of Justice, meaning they were talking about Zarathos. Zarathos has always been a soul consuming demon

reply

And the even more amusing part?
- EVERY single demon is an angel, fallen yet still angel. Since there's no justice in this world, making the spirit or vengeance the original spirit of justice makes sense, since vengeance is corrupted/perverted justice.

So it's not that big of a change really. Every comic book character when adapted to the screen has to be somewhat changed.

Vengenace isn't corrupted justice..Otherwise the Avengers would come into question since avenging isn't that much different from vengeance. No GR was never a "spirit of justice" which is why it was incredibly stupid..It was pointless and was never in the comics. Also him turning blue was also pointless because the only time he was ever blue was when he brother Danny was working for Zadkiel as an evil GR

Dude, the Avengers are avengers in name only. They are just like any other superhero too chicken$h!t to kill their enemies.

"No GR was never a "spirit of justice" which is why it was incredibly stupid.."

I never said he ever was (I read the origin story provided to Zarathos by Nightmare), just that for this film, it wasn't that much of a stretch.

Maybe I have a soft side for Neverline/Taylor, but boy I sure love them, and this with all its flaws is far better than the previous one...

No they're not in name only bub..As Iron Man said himself in their film that their purpose would be to "avenge the world." Lol too scared to kill their enemies? Your statement right there shows me that you're probably another one of those who's only watched comic book films but have never read the actual comics. Captain America,Thor,Iron man,and many other avengers have killed before..Some when they were given no other choice. The Scarlet Witch who's been on their roster for years was responsible for a majority of mutant deaths when she went psycho during House of M in the books for ex

If that's what you think of the Avengers then you've got a poor misrepresentation of them

Satan and his demons/followers are fallen angels. I don't know if you can rightly say all demons, but at least the original ones. This really isn't a hard concept to grasp but it seems most don't get it.

Partial loss of muscle control due to being possessed. Also as other's have said, a taunt as you are making purposful non-verbal communication that you're being looked at / watched from multiple angles (and sized up, evaluated.)

I read Nicolas was trying to make his neck movements "Lizard like" for some reason.

reply

Cage based the movements on rattlesnakes and scorpions. He studied them to prepare for this movie. It creates an image that the Ghost Rider is dangerous hunter searching for sinners, but not like a tiger or wolf but something more sinister.
