Nicholas Cage's acting?

When watching Nicholas Cage's acting in this film, it was almost as thought it was watching a crazy man having a nervous breakdown since he would just laught out of nowhere so suddenly. I know that the powers of Ghost Rider is probably what drove Johnny Blaze into madness in the first place.

I like Nicholas Cage's performance and overall, I also liked this movie. Granted its not a good movie but I like it. Cage does bring out something to the performance as Ghost Rider that is rather "real". I'm not saying the character was well developed or anything, I'm just saying Cage did an alright job with the material he worked with.

His acting about drove me to madness as well. Whatever talent and attraction his acting once had is completely gone now. Its like watching a mental patient try and act now. And its not just in this movie either. Its almost like hes trying to re-capture the magic he had when he was young but just really over doing it.

Nicolas Cage's acting is over the top, as usual. Fortunately, his ridiculous acting worked in this film. What's ironic is I normally enjoy Cage's performances because they are so bad, there good... but in this film, I felt he took his routine to far.

Please don't use the words "Nicholas Cage" and "acting" in the same sentence unless you also use the word "bad" in there somewhere.

I was kinda wondering if mr Cage was actually acting or that the CGI finally gave him more than one expression.

I do believe he won an Oscar for best actor for Leaving Las Vegas...

I have an unbelievably long ignore list.

And then he played the same character in every movie since then. The folks that voted for him that one time must be embarrassed as heck to realize that he wasn't acting and that's just the way he always looks on screen.

His characters in Leaving Las Vegas, The Rock, Bringing out the Dead, Raising Arizona, Con Air, Adaptation, Moonstruck, National Treasure, The Croods, World Trade Center, and Face/Off were all different from each other and he played them fairly well.

I've seen about half of those and they are all the same character. He's just an average mope minding his own business when he reluctantly gets swept up into being the hero. He then mumbles all of his lines, beats up a few people and inexplicably prevails.

No they aren't. Tell me how Cameron Poe( Con Air) is any bit similar to Castor Troy/Sean Archer in Face/Off? Or Ben Gates and John McLaughlin, or Charlie/Donald Kaufman and Roy Waller? Or Big Daddy and Stanley Goodspeed? Clearly we haven't seen the same movies, or your not very good at paying attention to them.

I actually think the performances were good in the movie, just the story needed a lot of tightening up and the direction had to improve - though it was by far at its best on the road. Would have loved more like the final chase, which was almost good, seeing GR in daylight and how it was almost like Road Warrior.

How many actors would even accept the role of Ghost Rider?

Producer: We have a role were you play a character who periodically turns into a flaming skeleton who wears leather and rides a flaming motorcycle and battles the devil. Would you be interested?

Nicholas Cage: Sure! Why not? As long as it does not interfere with filming Drive Angry.

Nic Cage is a huge ghost rider fan and if it came down to it, I'm sure he would turn down every role that came his way for a chance to don the flaming skull again.

I thought his acting was lame in this and that he was too old for the part..

I personally think he is one of the worst actors out.

He seemed like he was on cocaine.
