The real case.

Gripping stuff. From what I could dig up:
The real case was called the 'Baarnse moordzaak'. And the brothers real names are Boudewijn Henny and Ewout Henny. They own the 170th richest company in the Netherland; 'Conservatrix' (insurance), which is actually located in the very house, where they lived, when they comitted the crime. They live in Belgium today.
I presume this is all common knowledge to the Dutch, to whom the brothers are quite known, as several books have been written about the case in Dutch.
I found the movie chiliing - absolutely macabre, worsened hardly by the fact it's all true.
People who know them today, say that they learned a lot during the 9 years in prison, and that they should be forgiven. Others say once a villain always a villain. I say after seing this movie, one imagines the thousands of murders, which remain undiscovered forever.
Simon, whose real name is Henni something - (I forget) is a mystery, and noone seem to know what really happened to him after his release. Scary.

Well no, it's a fictionalized retelling of the events that you discuss. The producers admitted they deliberately didn't research the actual case.
