I Had No Idea It Is A Gay Movie!

I really thought it was about how three idiot straight guys with an anti-illegal-immigrant bias were going to hope and change themselves to all pro-illegal-immigrant bias, but instead, it was all about how young brown girls can support white male gay couples AND legal immigrants. The diversity here is dazzling!

Me thinks you oversimplify.

You're quite possible the dumbest film anal-yzer ever.

I didn't know going in that it would have a gay storyline but this was not just a gay movie. I agree with the others that you're just focusing in on one part that doesn't even come into focus until the last third of the film.

A movie with a couple gay characters, sure. But not a gay movie. Like Surf-10 said, they hardly focus on it until the last bit of the movie.

This movie was more about coming to terms with who you are and embracing it. I especially felt that was the message by the end of the film anyway. And really the gay storyline aspect between the two main characters was so subtle that I would have hardly even identified it as being solely a gay film. I will admit the emotional interaction we see with David and George(?) as their relationship progresses was rather quite beautiful.

This is about the second time I picked a movie on Netflix that turned out to be gay themed and my husband is now offically wondering me lmao.

I'm a girl. Shh

The movie just sucked, they steal the truck at the beginning and pretty much don't go back to the truck story line til the last 5 mins of the movie. Would have been much better if there was a middle. I mean there was a middle but it had absolutly nothing to do with the beginning or end. I don't care that the guys were gay or about the guy in love with the donut lady. What a disappointing movie.

I think it was a good watch. Great acting. I really wanted to see how far they had gone with the border deal. Getting to the gay thing, I found it very realistic as non-sissy/masculine gays are. In Brokeback Mountain the characters shoved their faces on each other and seemed fake brutal...I found that as a way for the actors to "get out" of the scenes and be in a safe place. I don't think their characters were acting like that way while tending the sheep.

I hope all the actors do well. Sorry the script let them down.

A gay movie? There were four main characters: a gay couple and a straight couple. Doesn't that make it as much of a straight movie as a gay movie?

I just watched it this evening... hadn't heard of it until this week. I really enjoyed it even with the haunting, sad ending.

I really don't care what anyone thinks this film is about. It is horribly directed. It is so disjointed and simplistic in its delivery so as to be unwatchable. I shut it off. I have no issue with sexual orientation. I do have a problem with badly structured storytelling. That is what this is. Just flat out terrible. Bad decisions made scene after scene. I'm guessing some really bad editing decisions have been made here. Just bad. Not worth watching. Bad, bad movie making.
