I'll be on set Monday 7/30 - more then.

Just received a call from the casting director of "Good Intentions".

They will be shooting near downtown Decatur, Georgia this Monday, July 30th, and need me to come to the set at noon.

Should be interesting!

More after the shoot.

Sorry. Shoulda followed up earler but was busy acting in another film and shooting their production stills.

Anyhoo, over the weekend after my July 27th posting the casting guy, Patrick Ingram, called to say they wouldn't need me on Monday the 30th at all.

Then about 6:30am on Tuesday the 31st the phone started ringing.

"**!" "**!" "**!"

"Hullo?"

"Quick - can you be on set by 8am??"

"Yawn... Uh, who's this?"

"Patrick"

"Sure, no problem."

Fast shower, brush teeth, grab several appropriate changes of clothing, plow thru Atlanta's AM rush traffic to be on set for the 8am call.

Signed in, said "Hi!" to crew members I've worked with on prior films and had a terrific hot breakfast.

Then I introduced myself to the very friendly producers and offered with their permission I could shoot some behind the scenes stills for them and the Georgia Film Office (a standing request). Then I waited for their "OK".

And waited.

And waited.

The first thing the crew was shooting was a comedy piece with the great pro Bob Shelly of "Bob Shelly´s Special Effects International" delivering the goods as usual.

Then they shot several scenes of the male/female leads talking and otherwise interacting.

"LUNCH!" A terrific hot meal at the church hall next door.

Then the stunt dogs were brought in for a scene where a guy might be robbing our hero's country store and the dogs go crazy barking and chasing the bad guy.

And I waited some more while other scenes were shot.

And I waited some more.

"WRAP! Thanks everyone. Goodnight!"

Huh?

Never did receive permission to create some behind the scenes stills or even film my scene. (There were a lot of folks with cameras on set but they really didn't know how to create production stills.) Sad to say, there would have been some very nice candid stills of Luke Perry huggin' and kissin' his kids. He would have liked those. Oh well... his loss. (BTW, I'd never sell anything like that to the tabloids, I'm a professional photographer not a slimy paparazzo.)

Patrick says since they never got around to using me they might be able to use me this week. But it's 45 miles to the set and we don't get any mileage compensation. Ick! :-(

More later.

It's well past 4:30am and I've gotta finish cleaning out my studio and customer waiting area as Pedro will be here about 8am to put a fresh coat of neutral white on the walls and ceiling so it will look nice for models and actors who need portfolios and headshots.

PS
While I was waiting the third call from "Good Intentions" I was a featured actor in the cop / murder mystery film "Misdeal". Watch for their upcoming IMDB listing which will include many of my production stills.

Well the title of the movie fits the case then...indeed they had "good intentions" to use you, but other things got in the way it seems...
Did they at least pay you for your time and good will for presenting yourself on the set and for waiting all day?
