When she started smoking and slowed her pace of speech, I was pretty impressed.
It's unbelievable she has to drive to sketchy Kansas City parking lots to nab less than an eighth!
I thought she may have been exagerating. And why does she have a license anyway?? If the right side of her body has the problem like she said, then what about the gas pedal foot?? If she happened to have a jitter thing at the moment she needed to hit her breaks fast, could she? ??

Definitely exaggerating. Editing and exagerration on her part probably played a large part.

shareI don't think she was exaggerating but stress and anxiety can make people's stutters worst. Maybe being on film and getting interviewed made her stutter worst. I definitely don't think she was faking it and I don't think it was the editing...

Back on topic, I don't know how much more proof the jerk suits need that marijuana IS a form of medicine. Wouldn't it just be so sweet if they suddenly came down with these illnesses where weed is the only thing that helps.

Her story was really touching, and it is a shame she has to drive so far to such a bad area for barely any herb.
I don't think she was exaggerating at all, you could see her facial muscles spasming and twitching, regardless the herb definitely helped her muscles relax and her speech was much improved.
The "war on drugs"" is beyond frustrating,hemp could provide a much cheaper form of paper, rope and other uses but this left behind stigma from a early 1900 profiteer has cursed us all.

I spent years working with CP patients, and while I can't say for certain that she's not exagerating, I can definately say that I'm seen far, far worse speech hindrences. I remember telling a patient once, "I'll keep trying, you keep trying - sooner or later I'll get your meaning". He'd spend 10 minutes saying good morning some mornings. As I watched this movie I kept wondering if pot would have helped him.
