The best ending I've seen in a while.

Though it started slow with Jacob holding things back, it couldn't have had a better ending, and that is something you don't see a lot these days. The female role of Mary was what held my attention most but the role of Jacob was a bit too weak it would have been better if he embraced things more & didn't act like a little p@ssy for most of the film. Not a bad film though, recommendable as an original vampire story without the glam & soap op. crap of most recent takes on this topic.

The ending is pretty cool but it kinda reminded me of a scene from "Let the right one in".

I don't really get the ending? Can someone please explain to me what happened after the police officer was holding a gun to Jacob and Mary? Why was Jacob telling Mary to stab him? Where where they after that scene with all the blood?

They were against the wall at her place still and it was her telling him to do it. After all the *beep* that went down and now Mary with him he embraced his darkness and went ape *beep*

Do you really not understand?? whats not to understand. Mary was dying because she needed blood and been left with nothing. Cant you remember jacob in the middle of the film when he never had any blood he looked bad felt awful because he needed blood to keep him alive and healthy.

The police officer wanted to take him as he now believed he was to blame for the murders. and his girlfriend mary was dying... she told jacob to kill him because she wanted to live and knew she would die without it.

Jacob loved her and he did not want to lose her so he made the snap decision to kill the officer to save her it was really the only thing he could do.

They were still in his apartment after they just killed and fed off the cop.

They now lived happily ever after..... FOREVER :)

I didn't expect much tbh but I was more than pleasantly surprised by this movie.

So different from mainstream vampire *beep*. It reminds me much of another great vamp movie Addiction

The ending was perfect and extremely satisfying.;)

Now I only need to watch the new masterpice directed by Neil Jordan -Byzantium. ;)

PS I think this movie can take it rightful place amongst the interview with a vampire, Coppola's Dracula, Addiction, Let the right one in, we are the night.

I recently watched 'Byzantium' per a recommendation.

Worth a watch, but I wouldn't label it a masterpiece.
