This movie was fun

I can tell that this movie is being panned by people on here, but I rented it and I thought it was a lot of fun!

I mean this not a straight horror movie like "Dog Soldiers" or something, but this movie is basically, "Let's have fun and be goofy!" And it was.

I do think the packaging makes it look "scarier" than it is and I think something more lighthearted would be better.

But the movie was great from the point of view!

Loved the "Tibetan Flute Music" and when the werewolf threw that bloke so hard he went flying past the moon! Nearly wet myself! :-)

Initially I really didn't like the movie, and I was planning on turning it off. However, hoping it might get better, I fast-forwarded up to the point where Kwan comes in. He made the movie for me; I totally loved the rest of it. I was particularly fond of, "No, not the anal probe!" XDDD

reply

Hehehe. Anal probe!

"I have met some dumb blondes in my time. But you take the taco, pal"

The movie was trying to be TOO clever and failed at almost every turn...the voiceover/animated scenes ("we're gonna make a lot of money") were downright amateur! The "comedy" was layed on too hard & failed.

and what's with the director jerking off using the camera instead of his c0.ck? The wolf scenes toward the end were zooming in & out worse then a cheap, Italian 70s flick! it was annoying!

2/10!

The moment Kwan showed up, I thought to myself "Chris Kattan: Werewolf Hunter."

This would have been more tolerable if the people behind it knew which tone they were taking. At one moment, it's a serious horror film, the next it's a wacky tongue in cheek romp in the vain of one of the more obnoxious Troma movies.

To me, it's the "Shaun of the Dead" of werewolf movies. Haters are taking it too seriously!

"I can't quit you, Kwan!"

LOL

"Shaun of the Dead" is a funny movie that understands and respects the material it's paying homage to. This is a movie that thinks gay werewolf hunters, anal probes, dudes peeing themselves and constant mugging for the camera is funny. Don't give me "haters are taking it too seriously." Mixing horror and comedy takes skill. This movie has absolutely none. Hell, I enjoy some dumb horror comedy movies, but this movie was just atrocious. I didn't laugh once during it.

5/10 from me.

When you know going into a movie that it's going to be straight-to-video schlock, there's really no sense in evaluating its overall quality. It either entertains you or it doesn't. In that regard, I'd say the movie was mildly entertaining for a one time viewing.

The actress who played Christine was hot, I think that Char's reaction to her husband's infidelity had a surprising amount of dramatic strength to it, and we had a few interesting moments involving the werewolf. That one woman's murder was particularly brutal. I felt legitimately bad for her.

I wouldn't recommend it, but I left the movie with a decent feeling.
