Rich's old truck

Was anyone else like me thinking Rich was going to set fire to his old truck?

reply

Only because like he said the truck was not the most looked after in terms of maintenance. Leaking fuel igniting and he would be walking home. Of course the camera crew would be sharing their hot cocoa. The practice itself is not unheard of. I've heard of guys doing that to old diesel trucks or tractors when in a pinch. An awful lot of break downs happening as of late on there to believe they are all legit problems. Heck, guys who live in somewhat populated areas like I do make sure key vehicles are winter proofed unlike Rich. This means winter grade oil plus new battery or even pairing up two batteries. Snowmobiles go out with basic tool kit plus basic parts such as fuel filter, spark plugs, drive belt, etc.. I still think Marty was put up to trying to start his sled with the kill switch activated for added drama. Also, if he had the money for the motor during the cold weather chances are he had it before he flew up there. That should have been changed before the snow flew. There are a bunch of dummies on this show for sure.

By the way I think you meant to post this over on Mountain Men. In some ways it might be just as good to combine the two here on IMDb. Most of the posters watch both or have the same observations for each.

BiffGG, your right. Darrell Ward is from Montana. Wouldn't it be funny if he was related to old Rich or Tom. Lighting fires under a vehicle is new to me. Here in Arkansas, it doesn't usually get that cold that an engine won't turn over. I am also surprised that the animal rights people haven't complained about him making his dog ride on the hood.
