So...more of the same?

We have the same drivers on the same roads running the same routes...*yawn*

It was so boring I stopped the video halfway through. This show desperately needs a revamp or something. At a minimum, a change of scenery.

The same except no Vlad, Rick or the Polar Bore, Hugh. Supposedly the IRT crew wouldn't work with them anymore. Also, Polar's owner posted a picture of the VP Express building with a For Lease sign out front.

Thanks for that added info! This show is a trainwreck but I might watch anyway just to see how low they will sink.

Nobody remembers this story about Hugh?

OMG. That is priceless. I totally missed that story. Thanks for posting the link here.

They had that girl in a bikini a few years ago. Maybe they could find a beach somewhere. Through a hurricane or two in there, and you've got yourself a TV show!

From Seasons 1 - 9 the highways they traveled did change. But if you mean that it all looks like the same 'ice road', then I agree. I guess for me, I try to imagine driving on some of those roads, and I can see where the stress comes in. In some episodes I learn some new tricks drivers use to get themselves out of jams.

I can understand why people disliked Hugh, but I watch still watch the show because I like the current line up of drivers. Lisa is my favorite.

Regarding the routes, I was comparing IRT time in Alaska versus what we have now. The Alaska route, aka Dalton Highway, was just more interesting. What we have now isn't. It's hard to get invested in some anonymous stretch of road or lake. Now, show me a trucker racing down Atigon's Pass and I'll watch every second.

For example, in earlier seasons we had:

"Hundred-foot cliffs, hairpin curves, avalanches and -70 degree temperatures..."

Now, we have

"drive over a road, drive over a lake, drive over a road..."

Agree on Lisa. Can't help but to root for her.

You have very good points, but it seems like the Canadian roads are rougher on trucks if they go too fast. Which is what Art's boss warned Art about when he drives. Too much damage to the company truck last season.
