Has anyone else tried this?

There was an episode where he had a woman on the street put her hands up to his hands, and told her to think of a finger without moving it. He correctly guessed which finger it was several times in a row.

I've tried this and have to say that I probably get it right 70-80 percent of the time. It's a pretty rad trick.

People move their hands unknowingly. You just have to to get used to focusing on the feelings in your hand.

There are people who believe that they can dangle a crystal and it moves of its own accord and in actuality they are jangling the crystal (which is visible when you slow a film of them down).

The selected participants are told to concentrate intensly on a single finger and they move that finger just barely giving themselves away and they are oblivious to doing so. It is the same trick as guessing which hand an item is in except with tactile sensation instead of watching for visual cues.
