Anyone else notice about Saw?

When Carl watches saw. I may not have been the only one who got this, but did anyone else notice the storyline of saw has some similarities to Yes man. The fact that saw is based on people who are tortured because they don'y fully appreciate and get the best out of their life. Just like Carl without the torture.

No, but I thought it was cool that he was watching Saw and they showed Cary Elwes, who stared in Liar Liar with Jim Carrey.

Also the other movie, The Ghost and Mr. Chicken deals with Don Knotts being a 'yes man' typesetter for the newspaper writers.

Interestingly enough, a friend of mine mistook the man in charge of the "yes" seminar for Tobin Bell from Saw.

I thought he was Tobin Bell at first too. They look alike.
