You know, this whole YOLO lifestyle is a thousand times easier when...

You have money. I would love to learn Korean, or to fly, or to pick the first airplame to a random location. But unfortunately, I don't earn nearly enough to do any of these things.

Why not slowly get yourself there? Start saying yes to the process.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

reply

Right! Anyone can be rich, you just have to say 'yes' to it. It's so obvious.

Fly to Korea to teach English? There ya go, ha! You get paid for this. Actually, its preferred if you're not fluent in the local language. They want native English speakers. How about that?

reply

You don't need money to learn another language.

I learned japanese 100% for free (not that I am completely fluent, because I did it just for fun, and not to get fluent in it, but I can watch japanese TV without subtitles and hold conversations in japanese without problems).

I just gathered all the material I could find from the internet for free. Libraries also exist, plus voice chat networks, like "Paltalk", for example. There's plenty of material out there that you can easily find.

In addition, there are 'cultural events' and TV shows to learn from.

But I guess it's easier to just blame circumstances so you won't have to do anything. Complaining is easier than actually trying to accomplish something.

I learned how to say "1, 2, 3? in Japanese from watching a j-horror flick (can't spell them though), I think it was the original Shutter movie or something.
