Roughly translated "Who knows, not you. Who knows, not me..."

Nice with a song by Lisa Ekdahl during the pool scene that almost no one will understand. Even Swedes struggle with the meaning. Catchy though.

At first i didn't pay attention but then i noticed it was swedish and i was like woaah.. not often you hear swedish songs in u.s movies.

Open up your mind and your heart and your language function in your brain.
Songs have emotions, music, beat, expression and words and phrases that can be understood without perfect fluency. 80% of the music I have listened to for the past 20 years is NOT in English.

In this day and age you have no excuse...you can always paste lyrics into a translation engine for the general message.

You don't have to understand the lyrics to appreciate a song, and it's silly to suggest to someone that they should get them translated. I guess you couldn't enjoy Sigur Rós' music since their lyrics don't mean anything.

I was not saying that translation is an obligation only if you prefer it.

Haha I just saw that scene and first I didn't notice but then I was like "wtf, Swedish?!"

If I should believe in something I can't see, then I prefer a miracle instead of germs

I just finished watching the movie. When the song popped up, I looked at iTunes to turn it off. When I realized it was not playing from there, time stopped and I realized that the song was coming from the movie.

As a Swede, I was really surprised to hear this song there. The lyrics kinda don't make sense in that context, so it was confusing to hear it. I tried to enjoy the song as a non-swedish speaking person would and realized how damn good it was.

The translation, for those who are interested, is:

"You are a fairy tale too good to be true.
It is a fairy tale in itself that we found each other.
We could as likely never ever met.
Or was our meeting already decided long before we were born?

It would've made a lot of more sense it would've been used when Veronika and Edward were hanging around or whatever. But yeah...only for us swedes.
