I personally liked it...

Quite a lot. No, it's not the best movie ever, but I thought it was beautifully shot and very well acted. More than anything I deeply love the messages behind it and appreciate the dialogue immensely. I have had people in my life struggling with difficulties and feelings of hopelessness and have recommended they watch this film. All have said it helped to create alternate views of their lives and appreciate all that life can offer. I have not yet read the book but will definitely do so. I think it's a lovely hidden gem.
