I first heard of Heinz in The Long Firm

Heinz gets referenced in the Long Firm by Jake Arnott, as does Joe Meek. The story mentions Heinz getting pelted with beans. I thought Heinz was fictional until I read further. The story also features Meek's sad demise, and there is another strand of the plot featuring a murdered rent boy.
