I really liked this film, which seemed to be a balanced, intelligent combination of tough and delicate. Scott-Thomas has always impressed me, but this performance was riveting. All the actors were very good, in fact.

I wish our parole system was as humane and rational as this one seemed to have been. Of course it helps not to be horrendously over-worked, and maybe the depiction wasn't accurate as to what it is really like in France, but it's nice to think that someone in the civilized world is doing it this well.
