I wonder if anyone else has an opinion on this. I for one think this is a great movie. I've seen it four times and enjoy it more each time I watch. The reviews are so split down the middle that one has to wonder if there is an agenda. I think its brilliantly written, acted and executed. Thoughts?

The film was decent though the pace needed an epinephrine injection, and the script, well, it felt like it lacked.

This was an Oscar-calibre film IMO. I can't believe that some critics and viewers didn't like it. It was a compelling piece of film-making from beginning to end.

Yes,it was a beautiful film and I thought the performances were Oscar worthy. Perhaps it was too personal and unfamiliar for the mass american audience; certainly it was for the many people who review, if you can call it that, on this page.

saw previews barely of this movie and decided to watch it based on the actors in it. i don't like to know the storyline before i watch a movie usually and was pleasantly surprised that this was actually pretty good. i can't believe it made almost no $$$$.

I was quite prejudiced by the criticism it had received, but I was surprised at how much I liked it. I think the cast their acting and the directing is really good. And the storytelling works, this was Arriaga's best so far in screenwriting terms.

I really liked the movie, 9/10 . The characters were very solid and well developed. It was a big surprised all the critics. For me it was a great great movie.

Great movie terribly underrated and under-promoted! was definitely Oscar worthy! A solid 8 out of 10 from me!

I totally agree with you, Joeva. I just saw this movie on Amazon Instant Video. I am surprised with all the negative reviews. I thought the stories were heartbreaking and the performances were excellent.

I was fortunate to see this movie on an international airline flight (thanks Singapore Airlines for your good taste!).
Very fortunate as it suffered extremely limited release in Australia. Can someone explain why?

I rank it 9/10.
