The movie is not another How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Shannen Doherty ends up playing a thief Kate Dove, and because of a operation gone wrong, she heads back to her hometown in desperation to avoid getting caught.
She has to babysits her sister's kids where the daughter like her mother is a very moral good girl that ends up arguing with Kate because of disagreeing with her actions. Then there is the son who is a trouble maker that seems to take after Kate. Kate ends up acting bad, but ends up confronting her demons. A dramatic movie with character development, plenty of drama, and very moving.
